The precious metal has climbed to almost two-week highs.

It’s currently trading around $1,485.

And the bulls aren’t hanging their hopes on the interim US-China trade agreement.

Instead, they have their eyes on another escalating geopolitical tension.

YOUR SILICON VALLEY (LIBERAL) OVERLORDS

If you’ve noticed that the Drudge Report has been leaning left, you’re not alone.

It’s the subject of a new campaign titled “Free Matt Drudge”. And the goal is to launch a conservative alternative.

“We love Matt Drudge and know the only way the Drudge Report would have gone so far left is if he was being held hostage in some progressive’s basement. For this reason, we demand his immediate release without condition.”

That part is obviously satire, but what about the underlying message?

The new publication (which hasn’t yet been named) is set to launch in mid-January.

It was called into action based on the left-swing the Drudge Report took during impeachment. But many say the Drudge went left the day after the election.

“This is something that began the day after the election. You could watch it in real time starting at about 9:30 a.m. a day after the election.”

“The nature of Silicon Valley is that while there are lots of nice people that are in Silicon Valley, on the whole, it tends to be less than an open-minded or tolerant region when it comes to political persuasion. Even the slightest bit of dissent is treated harshly.”

TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME

Nothing says “Merry Christmas” like a good political stalemate.

Good thing Santa brought us more than enough for the year. 

Perhaps the decade.

Some might say a lifetime.

Both sides are doubling down.

And there is ZERO incentive to move forward over the holiday break.

Which leaves the impeachment process in limbo.

Pelosi and the Democrats are holding the impeachment articles “hostage” until they can be sure about the Senate process.

They are worried that none of the “jurors” from the majority party are impartial.

But Karl Rove has his own “naughty list” of Democrats who should recuse themselves from the looming impeachment trial.

He starts by reminding us that every single Democrat member of the Senate who is currently running for office has already called for the President’s impeachment. 

“Mr. Booker himself, a little hypocritical, has already said months and months ago ‘impeach President Trump.’ When are we going to hear Booker denounce himself and denounce Warren, and denounce Sanders, and denounce Kamalah Harris and denounce Amy Klobuchar as being biased and incapable of serving on the jury?” 

I’ll wait while we all hold our breath… 

“The longer this goes on, and the more she [Pelosi] tries to play this game, I think it makes them [House Democrats] look even more partisan, even more petty, and even more political.” 

As polls continue to show voters turn sour on impeachment, the continued drama can’t help the Democratic cause.

TRUMP IS WINNING

Last week, a poll from CNN on impeachment discovered what we already knew – support for impeachment is dropping. 

What you might of missed is where it’s dropping. 

And who had some of the biggest drops.

Democrats! 

In November, 90% of Democrats supported the impeachment inquiry. 

By last week, that number had dropped to 77%. 

The biggest drops were among women, those 35-64 years old and Democrats. 

And all of that is bad news for Democrats. 

But great news for Trump.
