And now Senator Rand Paul was just suspended from YouTube

YouTube booted Senator Rand Paul from its platform for a week after he posted a video about mask inefficiency on his channel. The ban comes on the heels of Representative Majorie Taylor Greene’s Twitter suspension, which I reported on in the morning edition of Morning Bullets

“They are now banning all my speech, including speech that is given on the Senate floor, which is protected [by the constitution],” he said. “YouTube now thanks they are smart enough and godly enough that they can oversee speech, even constitutionally protected speech.”

A YouTube spokesperson defended the move, claiming that they have somehow been consistent in their hand-slapping.

But they aren’t fooling anyone, especially not Paul. He took his frustration to Twitter, explaining where his followers could find the deleted video, elsewhere, for themselves.

This Cleveland man marries the sister of the man he is accused of killing

An Ohio man on house arrest just married the sister of the person he was already convicted of killing. John Tiedjen served 32 years for murdering Brian McGary, but new evidence prompted the judge to toss out the ruling and allow for another trial.

While Tiedjen was out on bond, he married McGary’s sister, Crystal Straus (now, Crystal Tiedjen).

Apparently, Crystal believes her brother committed suicide, and she believes in her new husband’s innocence.

“With all my heart, I love her,” said John Tiedjen. “There is nobody else I think about, and I want to be with her my whole life. And I wrote her a letter back and I said I didn’t do it, take a look at this stuff. I believe in God too, and I know things about it, but I didn’t do it.”

John’s defense attorney officiated the ceremony. What’s next for the couple?

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has resigned amid his sex scandal

It has been a week since New York Attorney General Letitia James issued her 165-page report concluding that the state’s governor had sexually harassed 11 women. Yesterday, Andrew Cuomo finally agreed to step down, after months of refusing to do so. The allegations about his behavior first surfaced five months ago.

Just moments before his official announcement, his lawyer issued a statement, maintaining his innocence.

“In my mind, I have never crossed the line with anyone,” he’d said. “But I didn’t realize the extent to which the line has been redrawn.”

The move means that the Empire State gets its first woman governor.

Next in line is Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul, who said: “I agree with Governor Cuomo’s decision to step down. It is the right thing to do and in the best interest of New Yorkers.”

Why did Twitter just suspend Marjorie Taylor Greene’s account… again?

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has been suspended from her Twitter account yet again, officials say. This time, the site is saying that she is spreading misleading information about the vaccine, claiming that the shots don’t work in curbing the virus.

Her account is still active, but she won’t be able to do anything other than read other users’ tweets for the time being.

“If it seems like an otherwise healthy account is in the middle of an abusive episode, we might temporarily make their account read-only, limiting their ability to Tweet, Retweet, or Like content until calmer heads prevail. The person can read their timelines and will only be able to send Direct Messages to their followers,” Twitter officials say.

How long will Greene be stuck in this latest time out? And what do you think of this Twitter policy?

A Colorado woman who has been missing since May of last year had been involved in a two-year affair, with a married father of six, before she disappeared, authorities say. Now her husband is on trial for her murder.

Barry Morphew was arrested back in June, and yesterday’s hearing revealed that the couple’s relationship had been plagued by domestic violence and guilt trips.

Apparently, a neighbor called police after Suzanne Morphew didn’t answer her daughter’s Mother’s Day text. Her husband had never reported her missing.

What other dramatic details of her case were revealed yesterday?

The number of job openings surge above 10 million for the first time

Yesterday, the Labor Department reported a whopping 10 million job openings in June, a figure that represents a new record. That is one million more payrolls than economists had expected.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the hospitality sector led the way, with over 1.6 million job openings. Health care came next with 1.5 million available spots.

“Labor demand keeps getting stronger,” said Nick Bunker, who is the director of research at Indeed Hiring Lab. “This is the third straight month of record-breaking job openings. The quits rate is also close to its all-time high, which was set just two months ago in April. This wave of demand will eventually recede, but job seekers should ride it until then.”

This news came on the heels of a promising July jobs report, which went out last week.

This woman has been missing since 1978… did divers just find her remains?

A missing woman who has not been seen for more than four decades may finally have been found at the bottom of the Connecticut River, authorities say.

New Hampshire State Police say the recently-discovered vehicle that housed the human remains likely belonged to Alberta Leeman, who went missing when she was 63 years old.

“The vehicle that was found yesterday is a 1972 Pontiac LeMans with a license plate of OB610, which is the license plate that was registered to Ms. Leeman at that time,” an official said.

Divers discovered the vehicle upside-down, and covered in layers of sediment, in the Connecticut River.

Officials want to know how the car, and the driver, wound up beneath 14 feet of water.

How does Donald Trump praise his Operation Warp Speed?

Over the weekend, former President Donald Trump gave a Fox News interview where he said that his administration’s Operation Warp Speed saved millions of American lives.

“I think if we didn’t come up during the Trump administration with the vaccine, you could have 100 million people dead, just like you had in 1917,” he said. “You take the Spanish Flu, 100 million people, up to 100 million people, died. I think we’d be in that territory.”

While he was president, this country ordered 200 million vials of the Pfizer vaccine and 200 million doses of the Moderna solution.

“The vaccines turn out to be a tremendous thing,” he said. “It’s something I’m very proud of.”

But he stopped short of saying that Americans should be forced to get the jab.

“I really believe in somebody’s choice, somebody’s freedom,” he said.

What else did he get into during the interview?

Hall of Fame football coach Bobby Bowden has died at 91 years old

The legendary Florida State football coach, Bobby Bowden, who transformed his school’s reputation, has died at 91 years old, his family says.

Bowden passed away on Sunday morning, at home, in Tallahassee, Florida, of pancreatic cancer.

“It truly was peaceful,” his son, Terry, said in a text message.

The Hall of Fame icon had disclosed that he had a terminal illness earlier this year.

“I’ve always tried to serve God’s purpose for my life, on and off the field, and I am prepared for what is to come,” he had said, then. “My wife, Ann, and our family have been life’s greatest blessing. I am at peace.”

During his career, Bowden totaled nearly 400 wins and earned countless other accolades.

“Florida State University has lost a legend in the passing of Bobby Bowden,” said the school’s president. “Coach Bowden built a football dynasty and raised the national profile of Florida State University, and he did it with class and a sense of humor.”
