Your daily source for trading strategies, tech news, and politically incorrect humor.
On May 22, I talked about gold. I said:
“I expect gold will be higher several weeks from now than where it is today.”
Let’s see how it played out:
Gold rallied from 1,274 to 1,321 after my call, a 47 point gain.
A great short term trade.
You could have done extremely well in less than 2 weeks (a potential 100%+ gain using options).
INVESTOR INSIGHTS – Is the Market Selloff Over?
S&P has delivered its worst May return (falling 6.6%) in seven years and second worse since the 1960s.
Should you be worried?
I don’t think so. Selloffs are normal in bull markets.
We have been in bull market for over a decade. And I don’t believe it’s over just yet.
I think we are setting up for a bounce.
On Friday (5/31), I said there will be an opportunity to go long the market.
And I think we are getting very close.
Take a look at the charts of S&P futures:
We gaped down last night. And we currently trading around 2,745.
You can see various indicators on my chart. I’ll go over them some other time.
Anyway, I looked around and I found an interesting quantitative analysis.
On Friday, the market met certain conditions (too complex to get into). All you need to know is there were 8 instances when this happened between 1995 and present.
And if you bought on the day these conditions were met and held for 5 days, you would have made money 100% of the time.
Pretty good odds.
I think it’s a good idea to add some long exposure tomorrow.
Do you like this type of analysis?
Yes – I want more OR No – this is boring
YOUR SILICON VALLEY (LIBERAL) OVERLORDS
Does the Internet have a kill switch?
It seems like it.
Yesterday, the Google Cloud went down around 3pm EST.
And almost everything went down with it.
Take a look (all of these services went down):
I think it was more than a little outage…
People with “smart homes” were in trouble… they couldn’t turn their AC on or open their “smart” locks to let people into the house…
What did Google say?
“We will conduct an internal investigation of this issue and make appropriate improvements to our systems to help prevent or minimize future recurrence.”
Question for you…
When the “cloud” goes down, is the called the “fog”? LOL…
Was it a regular outage or is there more to the story?
Yes – there’s more and you should research it
No – it was a regular outage, move on
A famous proverb says: “a picture is worth a thousand words.”
And I found a great one:
CRAZY-INTERESTING OR RIDICULOUSLY-WEIRD
A secret vault. Secured with biometric fingerprint scan…
What’s inside it?
A $2.5m piano… owned by Steinway & Sons.
Crazy or Weird
And here it is… in all its glory:

I can’t get into all the news and interesting information out there in this one email, so what you’ll find here are articles, presentations, and resources I’m digging into and believe you should as well.
I talked about options and short term trades today.
My favorite trader is Jeff Clark. He was a professional money manager before he retired at 42. He’s been writing about trading for over 15 years now. And I learned a lot from him about options and short term trading.
In my humble (but accurate) opinion, he’s one of the best.

How useful did you find today’s Morning Bullets?
Not useful at all – It was ok – It was good – Extremely Useful
